Alberto is currently working as DevOps engineer at CERN (IT dep). Here he’s contributing in maintaining and improving an highly automated, high-density web hosting solution on multi-tenant Kubernetes running more than 8000 websites.
CERN is the home of the invention of the web. The first web server, Tim Berners-Lee’s desktop pc, is exposed here at the Science Gataway. Over time, web technologies and hosting demands have grown hand in hand. In this talk we will see our current solution to web hosting and PaaS on private cloud that currently hosts more than 8000 websites. This solution entirely based on open source tools and allows our user to make deployments easy but giving freedom to power users.
