Giacomo Tenaglia is a computer scientist with 25 years of experience of building and running services based on FOSS components. He works at CERN IT department in the team taking care of configuration management and scientific computing services. Giacomo recently helped build CERN's Open Source Program Office (OSPO), a body mandate to support consistent Open Source practices for software and hardware at CERN.

While publishing code as open source some important aspects related to licensing are often overlooked, as in general dealing with legal aspects is no developer dream.

In this talk we will present a set of modern practices and standards (SPDX and REUSAE) that can help developers integrate license compliance in their CI workflows. We will also show real-life examples and demos.
